Austin Wasserman is the Founder of Wasserman Strength and High Level Throwing®, with locations in New Hampshire, Florida, Ohio & Michigan. He’s a Strength Coach, Performance Coach and Author from Brooklyn, New York. He’s the Author of the High Level Throwing® Series E-Books!
Austin received his B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength & Conditioning through the University of Connecticut Department of Kinesiology. He also received his Masters Degree in Human Nutrition through the University of Bridgeport.
He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and has been training athletes for the past 15 years.
In 2002, Austin was the Gatorade Player of the year in New Hampshire and went on to play Division 1 Baseball at the University of New Orleans before transferring to the University of Connecticut. After college, he played two years of professional baseball. The first year was with the Worcester Tornadoes and his second season was with the Nashua Pride of the Independent CanAm Baseball League. Austin won a Championship in 2007 with the Nashua Pride.
Austin is highly respected by coaches, parents and players for his approach and knowledge of the human body. He has worked in New York City alongside some of the top Physical Therapists and Motor Learning Specialists in the country.
Austin works with Youth, High School, College, MiLB & MLB Baseball Players as well as Softball Players of all ages. He has consulted for and currently consults for some of the top baseball and softball programs in the country such as Vanderbilt, Alabama, Arizona State, Minnesota, Duke, University of South Carolina, LSU, Ole Miss, University of Washington, UNCW, Coastal Carolina, Villanova, Texas Lutheran and Iowa State to name a few.
His books, High Level Throwing®, are some of the most used overhand throwing books in the country! These books teach baseball and softball players how to move efficiently, maximize throwing potential, improve accuracy and create intent based on position, through constraint training drills and progressions.

Garrett Hudson is our Head Performance Coach at the Wasserman Strength – New Hampshire location! Garrett received his B.S. and M.S. in Exercise Science from Merrimack College and is focused on working with baseball and softball athletes of all ages! As a former collegiate pitcher, and with his older brother being the Red Sox MiLB Strength Coach, Garrett has been around the game and performance training for quite some time!
Garrett has worked with the Minnesota Twins as a MiLB Strength & Performance Coach in Ft. Myers, FL, working with high-level professional baseball players so we are really excited he is back working with our team and the NH Prospects!
Dominick Simiele is our Head Performance Coach at Wasserman Strength – Florida, focusing on our day to day on-floor training, implementing and supervising the strength training and throwing athletes! coach Dominick received his B.S. in Exercise Science from Florida Atlantic University with a concentration in Strength & Conditioning. Dominick is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He is also an FRC® Certified Coach.
Sarah O’Brien joins our staff remotely with years of coaching experience, having spent more than eight seasons at the collegiate level as an assistant coach at Texas Lutheran University, University of Houston and the University of Montana.
Sarah coached at Texas Lutheran for 6 seasons, from 2013-18. The Bulldogs went 223-39 and advanced to five NCAA Division III national tournaments. She spent the 2019 season as a volunteer assistant at Houston. She is currently the assistant coach at the University of Montana.
We are really excited to have Sarah on board with us as she knows the High Level Throwing® System like nobody else, implementing the overhand throwing program for the past 6 years at TLU, Houston and now, Montana. Sarah will help manage the throwing module for all of our remote softball athletes and work closely with Austin to maximize our athlete’s overhand throwing development!
Brittany Jacobsen is Wasserman Strength and Rugged Softball’s Head Softball Performance Coach at our Michigan Training Facility. She will be handling our day to day Strength and High Level Throwing® Protocols for softball players of all ages.
Brittany received her B.S. in Psychology with a Minor in Coaching from Mid America Nazarene University. She has coached softball at every level including college ball.

Matt Tracey is one of Wasserman Strengths Remote Baseball and Softball Performance Coach, focusing on our day to day athlete management, implementing and programming the strength training and throwing programs! Matt received his B.S. in Health & Exercise Science at Roanoke College and is currently enrolled in Florida Atlantic University pursuing his M.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength & Conditioning.
Matt is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He has experience training athletes of all ages, especially middle school and high school athletes in baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, rugby and football. He is currently in Wingate University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program in North Carolina. We are happy to have him with us!
Bailey Raso is from Iowa City and is going into her senior year at the University of Iowa. She is majoring in Health and Human Physiology and minoring in Sports and Recreation Management. She is a Student Manager for the Iowa Baseball Team and aspires to become a pitching coach at the collegiate level post-graduation.
Bailey is looking forward to working with the online softball athletes this summer as a remote softball performance coach and High Level Throwing® Intern. She is excited to learn from the coaches and staff at Wasserman Strength and continue to develop her skills in an industry she loves!
Deven Boland is currently an Assistant Softball Coach at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) in Mason City, Iowa. He is the Coordinator of Recruiting and Player Development with his main focus on pitching and defense. Deven will be contributing to High Level Throwing® and High Level Pitching® as a data analyst focusing on pitching, throwing and in-game defensive statistics for softball!
Previous to NIACC, Deven spent two years (2017-2018) as a Student Manager at the University of Iowa while earning his Bachelor’s Degree. Along with being a part of two college programs he also coaches club softball during the summer.
Kelsey Gable trains out of our Wasserman Strength and Rugged Softball Ohio location, working with softball athletes on strength, movement and prehab protocols! She graduated from the University of Toledo with a B.S. in Athletic Training and attended Indiana Wesleyan University, where she received her Masters of Science in Management.
