These two videos of Ichiro are awesome in regards to showing the High Level Throwing Pattern. In the first video, he is casually warming up, loosening the arm and loosening his trunk. If you’ve seen this clip before you would assume he is just stretching and think nothing of it. The second video is Ichiro throwing between innings. Again, if you’ve seen this clip before you wouldn’t think anything of it.
Also, as the hips are opening up, the trunk is turning back against the hips (or to the right). The arm then moves into and through external rotation to ball release, simulating a throw!
